Have you been in touch with the Bermuda historical society? Perhaps he went to seek his opportunity, or perhaps his extended family owned property there.

He lived at Flowerdew 100 Plantation during the 1622 Indian uprising. He then moved to the Eastern shore of VA and was on the 1624 Muster. He then left for Bermuda as a single man. In 1636 he returned to Jamestowne with himself and 5 other transporters. It is apparent that he married in Bermuda and returned with issue. Why did he go to Bermuda and what did he do when he got there? This is the mystery.

One of my great-great-grandmothers was a Hunnicutt, born some time in the early to mid 1800s, but I don’t know exactly when or where. I suspect somewhere in Arkansas or Texas, but maybe Tennessee. She married a Davenport. Your ancestor’s arrival in VA in 1635 is roughly the same time my earliest Trammell ancestor arrived.

Sir I as well am descended from Wm. Talbot. Though our name has changed twice from its original. I would like to converse with you. I’ve also sought more information on his journey and life. I’m on Ancestry and have done my DNA as well

The second was Rev. John Howard and wife Margaret in 1635. They had 7 sons most if not all who came with them at that time. Any substantiation, reference, referral, or information on any such Howards would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Mr. Shmidt,

I regret the delay in getting back to you. I don’t have any information on your Newsom ancestors; however, I suggest that you contact one of the staff members at the Virginia State Library in Richmond. If anyone has the information, it is likely to be them.

Dear Ms. Jones,

There is a small reference to John Maning’s approximate date of death (with one “n”) in Virginia immigrants and Adventurers.
