The Swedish Settlements on the Delaware is a scholarly and exhaustive treatment of New Sweden on the Delaware. Of greatest genealogical import, nearly 100 pages of Appendices are devoted to brief biographies, including considerable genealogical data, of prominent early settlers who were instrumental in the settlement of New Sweden; lists of officers, soldiers, servants and settlers, 1638-1656, with information as to occupation, origin, date of arrival, and so forth; various documents and translations of documents; and a listing of the expeditions, 1637-1656.
